With the mention of Kids on Bikes, I can’t help but think of setting up two groups, one playing the agents and one playing the group of kids and having decisions that each group made affect the other groups sessions. Might be difficult to pull off though

Excellent review and I agree whole-heartedly. I had the pleasure of running this at SoonerCon in Norman, Oklahoma, USA on 22 June 2024 and it was a blast. Pagan wanted to make the Mi-go the current threat. The cult of Cthulhu is on a downturn in comparison. I like how threats rise and subside over the decades. It was possible to play a game where this happened to the Mi-go and the Accord is challenged. There are some forces in the MJ-12 who could change this.

Owlshead Mountain is a fun adventure with a throwback to the 20's Mi-go. The players jokes that the Mi-go sounded like prankster kids when they tossed rocks and made scary sounds outside a cabin. The adventure had spot rules for how to frustratingly communicate with a group of Mi-go. There is a chart where they can both have flashes of genius and fail to comprehend implications. The more info you feed them and the calmer and more unanimous you are the better.

You could enter the slayer career yourself in WFRP. I'll have to look up what it had going. GW mentioned offhand that volunteering on a dwarf submarine is roughly equivalent to the slayer oath. They are coal-burning, awful things.

I enjoy how much insight into the world each of the individual lightbringer gods give. The world truly feel real and lived in. You can really see how the beliefs shape the world of Glorantha

MJ-12 has sub-projects to use the crumbs the greys give. The greys gave them a complete rundown of the human genome. They give accurate intelligence updates on any armed force on the planet. The Cookbook is the alien document given with deeper, esoteric science. It is weird to read and hard to decipher. MJ-12 is advancing neurochemical control, human biomechanical augmentation, aerospace and medical science. Some MJ-12 leaders are now wealthy from civilian releases.

The Innsmouth raid was an actual Chaosium adventure. Or the end chapter of one. Your traditional investigators have been prodding around town and finally been chased out. And just when the players might think "Dang, we can't fight a whole town" the FBI shows up, debriefs them and offers them a role as consultants and advisors. If the PCs are up for it, the PCs are split between three marine squads, the submarine and the coast guard cutter. One squad starts advancing on the temple, one small team infiltrates the Marsh manor to secure the pnacotic scripts, one large group boats into the caves under Innsmouth. The cutter and two support ships shell the city. The submarine goes on an adventure. You do not play the FBI men raiding the refinery. The game plays scene by scene in each approach chronologically. The PCs are separated, players with no PC present play premade, simple marines and sailors. A whole lot of NPC soldiers follow along. You play one scene where the marines take the temple, one where the coast guard shells a large shape rising from the water and if the coast guard fails the next scene with the marines in the temple has them face Dagon. The submarine torpedoes a thing and in the next scene the coast guard crews see something large and wounded float up.

There was at least two adventures featuring Karotechia. One where two agents try to recruit a Holocaust denier and bungling, and one where Galt shows up to troubleshoot when a plant outsourced to produce zombie gas suffers a disaster. Galt is pretty tough. He is a nasty fighter and carries a set of magic items that makes him hard to threaten. The other two and most bischofe are out of immediate reach down south.

An issue in a game about hunting these dudes is that the leadership hides outside the USA. But a DEA investigation into the Estancia through their network of neonazis and cartels could be fun. Agents of Karotechia show up in the states if they see a chance for stuff.

I found the entire series about the MON campaign tremendously helpful. Used it both before and during the campaign. Thanks a bunch.

The story idea sounds do like a lot more could be done with it. If I ever find a proper OCRd pdf I might have a bit of fun editing and expanding it. [secret organization with a hundred year history and a definite cause to work towards, crime / spies etc. Could be made into a spectre like opfor for 2000AD would. ]

Greetings from Germany. I was able to play my first ever chtulu and Delta Green adventure(both in ones) this last weekend at the annual convention in my hometown. And man, this was pure horror and fun together with some : the x file vibes with my heroes Mulder and Scully. We played : lover in the ice with a very great game master. We used charakter sheeds in german and we only speak in german language. Only a handout and 5 tape recordings from the jungle were in english. Our final fight was a dramatic battle ended with a bittersweat victory. We were 3 players, 2 guys and a lady as agents. So we had to split up in the lady and myself in one team and the third agent together with the deputy (whom we were able to convince to help us otherwise mass panic would break out among the population). In this epic fight my team was successful but in the other team the third agent was killed. Which was a hard pill to swallow. The lucky part was that the deputy killed the last alien and cover all traces. All in one i have had alot of fun and this was for sure not the last Delta Green adventure i was part of. I think my english isn't so bad but i realy wish that Delta Green gets a german translation. Thanks for this video.

I really like your videos on glorantha, I found it obtuse and hard to get into but listening to your videos makes me want to dig deeper into the mythology

Still my absolute favorite OSR system to run and play. Players who've never played B/X style D&D pick it up surprisingly quick from my own experience.
